I've wanted to do something with my girls' bedroom for a while, and when I heard about Dana's Room Makeovers I knew it was brilliant. My daughters were transitioning from a smaller shared bedroom into their own separate tween rooms. They were away for the summer and it was the perfect time to let Dana do her magic. I love that she worked with the girls remotely and got them very engaged and excited about the whole design process. Dana managed everything from choosing furnishings and room hues to managing the budget and a team that redid the rooms. She is reliable, creative, has an eye for detail and really made an effort to create a space that was just right for the girls. Needless to say I am thrilled with the results. Dana from DE Design was amazing to work with! We hired her to create two separate spaces out of a large living room that had been underused. Dana took time to get to know our tastes and patiently worked with us to suggest several design solutions until we were happy. She then suggested a construction company and worked closely with them until the project was completed to perfection. She also helped us find new furniture and accents to make both the new sitting area and the meditation room stunning. Her prices were also very reasonable. We were relocating to an empty house in NJ from another country and needed to have the house ready to move into - including buying furniture and equipping the house - all remotely before arriving to the US. Dana was very helpful in designing the house and oversaw all the dozens and dozens of purchases. She unpacked and installed everything with her great team and put everything where it belongs, ready to use - from large items like a couch to small items like hand towels and kitchen dishes. The whole process only took a few weeks and we came to a well designed, comfortable, fully equipped and spotless house. I recently had blinds installed on my windows, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The installation process was smooth and efficient, with the team displaying professionalism and expertise at every step. Not only do the blinds look fantastic, but they also function perfectly, providing just the right amount of privacy and light control. We came to Dana one month before the move - a big family coming to an empty house. The "Soft Landing" package was just what we needed. Dana and the team were efficient, quick and responsive to all of our needs. We arrived at the house in the middle of the night after a long flight. The beds were made, the towels folded in the closet, utensils in the drawer, the fridge was stocked. Dana also made sure that pieces that did not arrive in time were replaced with temporary ones so we had all we need to start our life in the new house. From the very first conversation, we understood this woman truly knows her craft. She requested a design questionnaire and Pinterest references, and never imposed her own style. What I loved most: there was absolutely no criticism of our choices - just full listening and flexibility. Changes were accepted warmly. Yet despite that flexibility, she still brought her own design vision to the home (the coffee table I never would have chosen myself is honestly a statement piece - I'll admit it!).
